Living Like You Mean It

Let love be without hypocrisy. Romans 12:9

Practicing sincerity -- which requires deep vulnerability -- is never easy amidst business, social and religious pressures. And sometimes the disarming nature of truly plugging into people and situations, daring to genuinely invest in and focus on others, and taking the risk to speak your truth will lead to being misunderstood or even ostracized. Truly, even just simply looking people in the eye when they speak to you often causes them to avert their attention and steer clear of further engaging with you. Our world does not always (or even often) value or reward sincerity. But it is always worth it to attempt connection to people and issues in a way that is meaningful and real.

How do you know when you are being sincere? What happens or what do you experience? Why is it worth it? How do you practice keeping sincerity front and center in your daily life?

Let love be without hypocrisy. Romans 12:9
